Aston Villa have this morning announced the arrival of French international midfielder Boubacar Kamara on a free transfer from Marseille.
The 22-year-old has signed a five-year deal with the English side, leaving his hometown club after five seasons in the first team.
The midfielder leaves just over 24 hours after helping Marseille qualify for the Champions League group stage with a resounding win over Strasbourg, and has now joined the Premier League’s 14th-placed side.
Kamara, one of the most promising midfielders in European football, had been the subject of a long-running contract renewal saga, amid interest from Atlético Madrid.
