Following the saga of Ousmane Dembélé’s (25) Barcelona contract, which has continued throughout the last six months, it appears as though the Frenchman may finally be close to reaching an agreement with the Catalan side, according to Marc Mechenoua.
Following rumours of a move to Paris Saint-Germain during the January transfer window, which continued until May, the player has also been linked with Bayern Munich, and most recently Chelsea, who reportedly offered the 25-year-old a contract in an attempt to make him the club’s first major signing of the summer.
All the while, the 2018 World Cup winner has flirted with the idea of staying in Spain, having offered to reduce his salary last month. It may now finally be the case, with the 30th June deadline having already passed, that Dembélé may extend with Barcelona. He is reportedly “closer than ever”, with the two parties yet to agree on details that have already been discussed.
