Paul Pogba closing in on return to Juventus

RMC Sport report tonight that Paul Pogba is closing in on a return to Juventus, as talks between the club and the French international’s representative Rafaela Pimenta took place today.

Pogba, who is now a free agent after his departure from Manchester United after 6 seasons having decided not to renew, is now expected to return to the club with which he won four league titles between 2012 and 2016.

Talks advanced today and saw the two parties draw closer to an agreement. L’Équipe have previously indicated that Pimenta – who took over as Pogba’s representative after Mino Raiola’s untimely passing earlier this year – met with Juventus officials back in May to express interest.

At the time, there had also been links to Paris Saint-Germain, although a move to the French capital is now off the cards with new sporting advisor Luis Campos not having Pogba in his plans.

The World Cup winner will instead return to Serie A, with his arrival potentially the catalyst for Adrien Rabiot’s departure as well, as the former PSG man has attracted interest from the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea and Newcastle.
