ANGERS – 4 (Cho 5, Mendy 36, Bahoken 62, Lage 90)
Anthony Mandrea, 6
Vincent Manceau, 5
Ismaël Traoré, 6
Enzo Ebosse, 5
Mathias Pereira Lage, 7 – Marginalised at the start of the season by Baticle, seemingly without a place in the new coach’s system, he’s proven a useful wing-back and will likely continue to ably make up for Jimmy Cabot’s absence next season. He stole in for the fourth here and found Cho for the opener.
Souleyman Doumbia, 7 – He has been erratic defensively over recent seasons but the wing-back role suits his skillset much more than full-back does and his energy and persistence on the left was a threat throughout here.
Nabil Bentaleb, 6
Batista Mendy, 6
Angelo Fulgini, 6
Mohamed-Ali Cho, 7 – He’s endured an inconsistent second half of the season with goals difficult to find but he was a major threat here for a wayward Bordeaux defence, who lost him completely to allow the teenager to tap home the opener and he later stole in behind to cross for Bahoken’s third.
Stéphane Bahoken, 6
Others: Mangani 5, Jakolis 5, Ounahi 5.
BORDEAUX – 1 (Mara 60)
Benoît Costil, 3 – He made one good double save in the second half but his strange positioning often cost his team, especially for the first Angers goal when he bizarrely left his goal unguarded.
Josuha Guilavogui, 4 – Far from perfect but at least he played with vague competence compared to the rest and, as captain, was one of few players to give the impression he understood the club’s position.
Anel Ahmedhodžić, 2 – From the Champions League to Ligue 2 in one season. Having signed from Malmo in the winter he’s often been one of Bordeaux’s least disastrous defenders but the game seemed to happen around him as his lack of pace and sharpness was badly exposed by Cho and the rest.
Gideon Mensah, 3
Ricardo Mangas, 3
Jean Onana, 4
Javairô Dilrosun, 5
Rémi Oudin, 3
M’Baye Niang, 3 – He might have kept Bordeaux in the game having been handed a series of very useful openings but failed to take any of them and faded as threat as the game went on, despite the worsening situation, before being subbed.
Others: Mara 6, Hwang 4, Kwateng 3, Adli 4, Bakwa 5.
