As reported by Le10Sport, PSG defender Presnel Kimpembe has decided to stay at PSG this summer amid interest from English club Chelsea.
It was reported earlier in the summer that Paris would be open to selling the French international defender this off-season, with Antero Henrique even offering the centre-back to Juventus earlier this month, but the 26-year-old PSG academy graduate remains at the Parc des Princes with a €50m fee wanted by PSG.
Kimpembe suggested he could also be open to leaving France this transfer window last month by saying, “I’m waiting to meet with the new management with regard to the club’s project. We’ll have to speak very soon.” He then clarified his statements, saying: “I think it’s legitimate to ask my club about the future project and what role I am going to be given.”
Chelsea and at least one other club reportedly had bids rejected by PSG this summer with Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel pushing to be reunited with his former player in London for this coming season. Chelsea, say Le10, have called the player directly to discuss the situation directly but they contradict previous news in saying that there was no concrete offer from the London club.
