PSG could look to extend Le Havre loanee Thierno Baldé’s contract

As reported by L’Équipe, PSG could make the contract of loanee defender Thierno Baldé their latest focus as the club looks to tie down their younger players to longer deals in a bid to ward off interest from other clubs and preserve talent for the future.

The 19-year-old right-back has impressed on loan at Le Havre in Ligue 2 this season and recently made his France under 20 debut. With his current deal set to expire in 2023, PSG are keen to keep the player at the club and perhaps loan him to a Ligue 1 side for next season to aid his development.

In recent weeks PSG have extended 19-year-old goalkeeper Lucas Lavallée’s contract to 2025, signed academy prospect Younes El Hannach (17) to a pro contract and continue attempts to persuade midfielder Xavi Simons (18) and defender El Chadaille Bitshiabu (16) to sign new deals.
