PSG looking to announce Luis Campos arrival this week

Le Parisien report this afternoon that Luis Campos is set to join Paris Saint-Germain as outgoing director of sport Leonardo’s replacement.

The former Monaco and Lille man, who is close to Kylian Mbappé and his family, will be place in charge of the club’s sporting strategy, transfer, as well as the work done at the Camp des Loges training ground.

The management’s idea is to improve the day-to-day proceedings at the club, having seen too many leaks to the press, late arrivals to training, and behaviour which was incompatible with that of elite athletes.

As such, the club would be run with the same rigour as others competing for the Champions League. This would also have an effect on the club’s transfers, with talks opened by Leonardo – such as the Paul Pogba deal – potentially left dead in the water.
