As reported by BUT, Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly is approaching a decision point in his career with various options likely to open up for the Senegalese international this summer.
The 30-year-old centre-back, formerly of recently relegated Ligue 1 club Metz, has been a long-term target of PSGs. Both Paris and Barcelona were reportedly looking at a €35m approach earlier this season, however, circumstances have changed in Paris with Leonardo soon to be succeeded as sporting director by Luis Campos.
Campos, nevertheless, recently spoke with Napoli over a possible deal for the player with Naples’ Fabien Ruiz also a topic of discussion, say the outlet. Napoli would want €40m for the defender with Juventus joining Barcelona in their interest too.
Napoli, however, are trying to convince the centre-back to stay at the club with his current contract set to expire at the end of next season. An offer of €5m-per-year has been extended but president Aurelio De Laurentiis and Co. are not prepared to overpay to keep the centre-back after eight seasons and 317 outings for the club so far.
