Santi Aouna is reporting that Porto and PSG have reached an agreement for the sale of Vitinha (22). The Portuguese midfielder is set to sign a five-year deal at the Parisian club.
The deal has advanced quickly. News of PSG’s advances on the Portuguese international broke earlier on Friday, and Aouna is now reporting that a €40m deal has now been struck.
The transfer is set to be PSG’s second of the transfer window after they completed the signing of compatriot Nuno Mendes (19), who spent last season on loan at the Ligue 1 champions. It will also be new sporting adviser Luis Campos’ first signing since the former Lille and Monaco sporting director took up his post.
The €40m fee is thought to be Vitinha’s release clause, and as it has been met, Porto are now consigned to losing the player, who was contracted with the club until 2024.
The former Wolverhampton Wanderers loanee appeared for last year’s Portuguese champions 30 times in the league, scored 2 goals and registered 3 assists.
