As reported by Le Parisien, PSG’s full list of 11 undesirable first team players that the club want to sell this summer has emerged and it includes Georginio Wijnaldum, Mauro Icardi and Danilo Pereira.
With the club looking to make considerable player sales for some time, a mission in which previous sporting director Leonardo failed miserably before his sacking at the end of the season, incoming director Antero Henrique has been tasked with selling unneeded squad players in partnership with new de-facto sporting director Luis Campos.
Henrique has been presented with a list of 11 players the club wants to leave. Those 11, say the paper, are: Layvin Kurzawa, Abdou Diallo, Thilo Kehrer, Leandro Paredes, Danilo Pereira, Idrissa Gueye, Ander Herrera, Georginio Wijnaldum, Éric Junior Dina Ebimbe, Julian Draxler and Mauro Icardi.
Despite recent reports that the club would be looking to sell them, both Neymar and Presnel Kimpembe are notable absentees from this list, but that doesn’t mean PSG have decided to keep both players with their situations a little more in flux and dependant on other factors than this group of undesirables who have effectively been told they can leave.
Selling all 11 will be tricky, however, as high wages paid by Paris mean players are reluctant to leave with prospective suitors unable to match their current salaries. Although the prospect of losing their squad places at the World Cup in November could push many to finally move on.
