Real Sociedad in advanced talks to sign Mohamed-Ali Cho, personal terms agreed

As reported by RMC, Spanish club Real Sociedad are now close to signing Angers’ highly-regarded teenage striker Mohamed-Ali Cho, with Marseille, who have been in talks for the player for some time, losing ground rapidly amid other interest besides.

With terms agreed with the player, something Marseille have been slow to do as they wait for approval from the DNCG – French football’s financial watchdog, the club from San Sebastian have only to agree on a fee with Angers to finalise the transfer say the outlet. However, those negotiations over a price are seen as advanced. Marseille had agreed to a €12m fee for the player last month.

With just one season left on his current contract, Cho’s sale early in the summer would be a major boon to the Ligue 1 club who can only sign players after any such deal is sorted. Further competition comes from Real Betis, Sevilla and Eintracht Frankfurt who are all still keen on the 18-year-old forward who managed four goals in 32 Ligue 1 games last season amid fluctuating form.
