Stade Rennais’ Martin Terrier named Ligue 1 player of the month for October

Ligue 1 have announced that Stade Rennais FC forward, Martin Terrier, as October’s player of the month. For Rennes supporters this may come as no surprise as he has racked up a staggering 5 goals and 2 assists in the month of October alone. These contributions would help see his team through to the Europa League knockout stage and third on the table in Ligue 1.

Though, it may only be a consolation to the in-form Frenchman who may have hoped to see his name on the list for the World Cup. Terrier has been climbing his way up the ranks to become one of the top Ligue 1 players every year and at 25-years-old, he may still get his chance to prove himself at the national team level. This achievement is no small feat with the months that Kylian Mbappé, Leo Messi, Neymar, Terem Moffi and teammate Amine Gouiri have had. The future is brighter than ever for Martin Terrier and player of the month is only the beginning.
