Stéphanie Frappart, an opera singer & a robot among those flying on President Macron’s plane to the World Cup final

RMC Sport report that France President Emmanuel Macron has invited a whole host of different individuals to join him at the 2022 World Cup final between Les Bleus and Argentina in Qatar on Sunday.

Macron, who attended Les Bleus’ 2-0 victory at the Al-Bayt stadium on Wednesday over Morocco, flew back to France but returns on Sunday for the showpiece as France seek to win the World Cup back-to-back.

Macron will not be making the trip alone to Doha on Sunday on the French presidential jet, having invited a host of other individuals to travel with him.

They include the first woman to referee a men’s World Cup match in Stéphanie Frappart, who notably presided over the group stage match between Germany and Costa Rica, opera singer Farrah El Dibany, who notably sang the Marseillaise to celebrate Macron’s re-election as French president and could sing the national anthem again in his presence, this time for the national hymns ahead of the World Cup final.

Finally, the two ladies will also be joined by a robot on the plane, which has been made in France & will enable a child that is in hospital in Argentina to watch the World Cup final as if he was on the touchline alongside the French coaching staff.
