According to Foot Mercato, Strasbourg are following Mainz right-back Ronaël Pierre-Gabriel (24) as an alternative to their primary target Colin Dagba (23).
Foot Mercato report that his profile “clearly interests Strasbourg,” although he isn’t “the priority target” for the club.
Whilst their priority remains PSG right-back Dagba, Strasbourg are nonetheless following alternatives and are reported to be interested in Pierre-Gabriel, who has spent the last two seasons on loan at Ligue 1 rivals Brest, who has made 59 appearances for the side since his arrival in 2020.
Leeds and several German clubs are interested in Dagba, so Strasbourg may face competition for his signature, which has forced the Alsace club to look at potential alternatives.
Strasbourg are in the market for a right-back after Frédéric Guilbert (27), who enjoyed an impressive loan spell at the Ligue 1 club, making 33 league appearances and registering four assists, returned to parent club Aston Villa.
