Lille forward Timothy Weah (22) is a target for Valencia, who are looking to sign the USA international on loan with an obligation to buy, according to L’Équipe.
The son of Ballon d’Or winner George Weah, Timothy scored 3 goals and registered 5 assists for Lille last season. He has a contract that runs through to 2024, but Valencia are interested in prising the forward away from the former Ligue 1 champions.
L’Équipe are reporting that Valencia, who finished ninth in La Liga last season would like to recruit Weah, initially on loan and with an obligation to buy. Should he sign for the Spanish side, he could form an all-American strike force with compatriot Yunus Musah (19).
Former PSG academy product Weah has found goals hard to come by since his move to Lille in 2019. In 60 appearances, he has only managed 6 goals for Les Dogues.
