In an interview given with Le Parisien yesterday, former AS Monaco vice-president Vadim Vasilyev gave his thoughts on the future of PSG’s star striker Kylian Mbappé, who he knows well, having been with the principality side from when Mbappé joined in 2013 to when he left in 2017.
“It’s the club of his boyhood dreams,” said the Russian. “He’s never tried to keep it hidden. Regardless of what decision he makes, there will be some people who agree and others who disagree. I’m sure of one thing: he’ll make the right decision in full agreement with his parents. They manage his career in an exemplary manner.”
The former Monaco executive also has extremely high praise for 23-year-old, who he believes is the best player in the world right now. “He makes the difference in every match. He still has room for improvement and will keep getting better.”
