RMC Sport report this afternoon that Bordeaux midfielder Fransérgio could be set to leave the club in the upcoming winter transfer window, with several clubs in his native Brazil interested in bringing him home, including Vasco de Gama in particular.
The former Braga man has had a largely forgettable spell with the Marine et Blanc so far since joining in the summer of 2021, having been one of the more disappointing performers in the club’s catastrophic Ligue 1 campaign last season which saw them finish rock bottom.
The Rio de Janeiro-based club’s sporting director Paulo Bracks is currently in Europe to meet with the 32-year-old’s entourage, while Bordeaux themselves have opened the door to a departure. This season, Fransérgio has somewhat managed to regain form in Ligue 2 and has been a consistent fixture of David Guion’s team, who currently sit in second place in France’s second tier. He has registered one goal and one assist so far.
