According to Loïc Tanzi, teenage midfielder Warren Bondo (18) is set to sign for Serie A side Monza, following the end of his contract at Nancy, who were relegated from Ligue 2 into the third division of French football at the end of last season following a dismal campaign marred by fan protests against the ownership. The young midfielder did however feature prominently during the unfortunate season, appearing 21 times in the league.
Having joined the Alsatian side’s youth teams, Bondo will be set to ply his trade outside of France for the first time, should he complete the move across the Alps. Indeed, Monza are on an opposite trajectory to his former side Nancy, having gained three promotions in the last six seasons, including a jump from Serie B to Serie A this summer.
The 2003-born midfielder has also gained experience with the French U19 side, making 16 appearances with the squad and playing an important role in their run to the semi-finals of the European Championships this summer in Slovakia.
