AC Milan show interest in Lens’ Kevin Danso

After a terrific season under the management of Franck Haise, many RC Lens players are on the radar of European clubs. This is particularly the case with their Austrian central defender, Kevin Danso.

As reported by Foot Mercato, AC Milan have contacted the 24-year-old’s representatives. After being nominated in the UNFP team of the season, there was no doubt that interest in the ex-Southampton player would be high. Foot Mercato had previously revealed that Napoli and Fiorentina have also shown interest in signing the Lens defender.

These rumours come a few weeks after the player explained to RMC that he “felt very good at this club, there is a good atmosphere.” In the same interview, he did however add that he “could not control the future, only the present. We will see later, for now, I will focus on the present.

Having reached the Champions League for the first time in 20 years, Le Sang et Or will hope to keep some of the key elements to their success, in order to build on what they have done this season.

However, with offers being rumoured around the €25-30m mark, there is a good chance that Lens would be in a position to accept these offers. With Seko Fofana and Loïs Openda amongst the other players with a high level of interest, no doubt that Danso’s situation will be interesting to follow throughout the window.
