Alexis Sánchez delaying decision on Marseille future

According to L’ÉquipeAlexis Sánchez (34) is hesitant to commit his future to Olympique de Marseille before the identity of the club’s next manager is known.

Sánchez joined the club on a free transfer last summer, signing a one-year deal with Les Phocéens with the option for a further year. In 43 games in all competitions, the Chilean international has scored 18 goals and registered three assists.

However, there is a chance that it will be his only season in Ligue 1. The former Arsenal and Barcelona forward is waiting to know the identity of Marseille’s next coach. Despite arriving last summer, and signing a two-year deal, Igor Tudor will leave the club this summer.

The search for the Croatian’s replacement is already underway. Get French Football News understands that Celtic’s Ange Postecoglou is in the running, as is Marcelino, whose last job was with Athletic Bilbao. Marcelo Gallardo, who has been linked with the job at Paris Saint-Germain, has also reportedly been offered to Marseille, according to L’Équipe
