Arsenal and Chelsea interested in Monaco’s Axel Disasi; Manchester United’s Erik Ten Hag set for talks with €40m-rated centre-back

According to RMC Sport journalist Fabrice HawkinsManchester United manager Erik Ten Hag is expected to begin talks with AS Monaco centre-back Axel Disasi (25) shortly.

L’Équipe reported earlier this month that Disasi, who is expected to leave Monaco this summer, has opted to join Manchester United. Whilst the Red Devils are yet to make an offer for the €40m-rated centre-back, they are nonetheless ahead of the competition, whilst their manager, Ten Hag, will speak will the player shortly.

However, they could face competition from Premier League rivals Chelsea and Arsenal. The former are set to lose Kalidou Koulibaly, who looks set to become the latest player to join the Saudi Arabian top flight. N’Golo Kanté, Koulibaly’s former teammate, completed a move to Al-Ittihad earlier on Wednesday.

Disasi’s sale is expected this summer, as is Youssouf Fofana’s, especially in light of Les Monégasques’ failure to qualify for European competition next season.
