Auxerre and Bournemouth in talks for Siriki Dembélé loan move

Auxerre and Bournemouth are in talks over the loan move of Scottish winger Siriki Dembélé (26), according to a report from L’Equipe. The older brother of Brest’s Karamoko Dembélé’s is short of game time with the Cherries. He has only featured in six Premier League games, starting them all from the bench, with the 18th-placed side this season.

The 26-year-old winger joined Bournemouth from Peterborough one year ago and is tied to the Dorset-based club until 2026. This Monday, L’Équipe reported that promoted side Auxerre, currently 19th in Ligue 1 standings, were close to striking a deal over a loan move for Bristol midfielder Han-Noah Massengo (21).

Auxerre are in need of reinforcements to steer themselves away from a Ligue 2 relegation. The Yonne outfit is the worst attacking side in Ligue 1, tied with Ajaccio, with only 16 goals scored in 20 games played, and have lost five league games on the bounce, the last of which came against Montpellier at home.
