Barcelona to discuss Kylian Mbappé transfer with PSG today amidst interest from three Premier League sides

L’Équipe are reporting that Barcelona have scheduled a phone call with Paris Saint-Germain later today to discuss a move for Kylian Mbappé (24).

As reported by Fabrizio Romano earlier on Monday, Al Hilal have submitted a world-record €300m offer for Mbappé. Faced with the possibility of losing the France captain for free next summer, PSG are willing to accept the offer, should Mbappé be willing to make the move. The AS Monaco academy product has repeatedly stated that he wants to remain with Les Parisiens next season, but he is unwilling to trigger the one-year extension included in his contract.

PSG president Nasser Al Khelaifi has reached out to Mbappé to encourage him to listen to offers this summer, although it is believed, both internationally at PSG and in the media, that the Frenchman has a pre-contract agreement to join Real Madrid in 2024.

However, offers are now arriving at PSG’s doorstep. As well as Al Hilal’s record-breaking offer, Barcelona are also set for talks with PSG later today. The Catalan club, faced with financial constraints, want to include players in the deal. L’Équipe have added that Chelsea, Manchester United, Inter Milan and Tottenham Hotspur have all registered an interest in Mbappé in recent weeks, although Real Madrid remain the strong favourites for the Frenchman’s signature.
