Former Toulouse goalkeeper Maxime Dupé set to join Anderlecht

Having been one of the host of senior players to leave Toulouse on the expiry of their contracts at the end of last season, French goalkeeper Maxime Dupé looks set to make his first move outside of the country after two weeks as a free agent.

According to L’Équipe this evening, the 30-year-old is now in talks with Anderlecht, with the Belgian club having been one of the first potential suitors to reach out to him. The two parties are close to reaching an agreement over a contract that will last either two or three years, with Dupé having ostensibly been won over by the Brussels-based side’s project.

The Nantes youth product left his formative club in 2020 to join Les Violets, and in three seasons became one of the cornerstones of a team that earned promotion back up to Ligue 1, before winning the Coupe de France last year and comfortably securing top-flight safety. Dupé featured in every one of Toulouse’s Ligue 1 games this season, and kept a clean sheet in 9 fixtures.
