France Sports Minister Amélie Oudéa-Castéra has accidentally leaked pictures and visuals of Montpellier’s new stadium, as pointed out by France Bleu. La Paillade’s new ground will be named after Louis Nicollin, the club’s historic president and larger-than-life character who passed away in 2017. The club’s current president is Nicollin’s son, Laurent. Oudéa-Castéra was at Montpellier today to attend the FISE, an international festival for extreme sports. She also met with the football club’s executives to see what will the Louis-Nicollin stadium look like.
“An introduction to the project of the future Louis-Nicollin stadium at Montpellier whose objective is to become an area combining sport, culture, economic life and ecological transition. Backing sport that thrives in our land!“, tweeted the France Sports Minister. However, she also shared official visuals and pictures on his account, presumably without the club’s approval. Her post has been deleted, but the pictures were already downloaded and shared by Montpellier fans on social media.
Merci pour les photos @AOC1978, tu fais partie de la famille maintenant 😁

Safe from relegation after an upturn in form since the appointment of Michel Der Zakarian, Montpellier will travel to relegation-battlers Nantes on Saturday.
