France U21 squad announced including Benoît Badiashile and Illan Meslier

France U21 national team manager Sylvain Ripoll has this afternoon unveiled his squad to take on both England and Spain in a pair of friendly matches ahead of this summer’s European Championships in Romania and Georgia.

While several former youth internationals, such as Wesley Fofana and Khéphren Thuram, have made the jump up to the senior squadLes Bleuets‘ team still includes world-class talent in every position. Among these are Premier League regulars Benoît Badiashile, Illan Meslier, and Michael Olise, as well as Lyon stars Maxence Caqueret and Rayan Cherki.

Goalkeepers: Stefan Bajic (Valenciennes), Lucas Chevalier (Lille), Illan Meslier (Leeds).

DefendersBenoît Badiashile (Chelsea), Melvin Bard (Nice), Valentin Gendrey (Lecce), Pierre Kalulu (Milan), Castello Lukeba (Lyon), Warmed Omari (Rennes), Mohamed Simakan (Leipzig), Adrien Truffert (Rennes).
