Hervé Renard is expected to be announced as the new head coach of the French women’s national team. However, L’Équipe report that Renard was spotted in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday, where he attended the team’s training camp as they prepare for two friendly matches against Venezuela and Bolivia.
Although the president of the French Football Federation (FFF), Philippe Diallo, had previously tasked the executive committee with finding a replacement for former coach Corinne Diacre within “eight to ten days,” that deadline has already passed. Despite L’Équipe’s report last night that the Frenchman is expected to become head coach of Les Bleues, there has been no news regarding the official start of his tenure.
In a video shared on social media by the Gulf team, Renard was seen participating in training sessions and giving instructions to his players. Les Bleues, meanwhile, are set to face Colombia and Canada in friendly matches on April 7th and 11th, respectively.
