Igor Tudor calls on Marseille to be clinical against PSG

Speaking ahead of Olympique de Marseille’s Coupe de France match against Paris Saint-Germain, Igor Tudor has said that his side must do everything well and be clinical if they are to progress to the next round.

The two sides head into Le Classique in different dynamics. Marseille are coming off the back of a demoralising defeat at home to OGC Nice in the Mediterranean derby, whilst PSG go into the match with confidence after back-to-back Ligue 1 victories.

Marseille will be without Eric Bailly, Leonardo Balderi and Nuno Tavares for the Coupe de France fixture at the Vélodrome on Wednesday. While the Croatian manager didn’t reveal much regarding his lineup or tactical approach to the game, he set out his high expectations.

In a pre-match press conference, transcribed by Le ParisienTudor said, “We have to do everything well and miss nothing to beat them. Of course, counter-attacks are important and we have to avoid them by being compact, also in attack. Les Parisiens have a team with a lot of danger. Everything will have to be perfect tomorrow.”

The PSG squad is weakened by the absences of Kylian Mbappé, Renato Sanches and Presnel Kimpembe, however, Neymar has made his return to Les Parisiens’ squad.
