Inter interested in Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun

Having been Reims’ standout player last season, scoring 21 goals across the Ligue 1 campaign, Folarin Balogun has inevitably been the subject of interest from within France and beyond on his return to Arsenal.

According to RMC Sport this morning, Inter Milan have turned their attention to the 22-year-old American international, having drawn up a list of alternative targets after breaking off negotiations with Romelu Lukaku on finding out the Belgian had also been in talks with Juventus.

Balogun, who is under contract at Arsenal for another two years, has been placed at the top of the list, which also includes Spanish striker Álvaro Morata. Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano indicates that Balogun is open to moving on permanent from his formative club, but that the Premier League runners-up have set a high asking price. He adds that Inter will make an enquiry at the start of next week. With the Gunners, Balogun has ten first-team appearances, scoring twice in Europa League action in 2020.
