Mohamed Toubache-Ter reports tonight that Lorient forward Dango Ouattara is the subject of interest from Leicester, with the Premier League said to be ready to put €20m on the table to bring in him this transfer window.
The Burkina Faso international has been one of the breakout stars of the Ligue 1 season, having played a key role in the Breton side’s high-flying campaign – Régis Le Bris’ men were at one point second only to Paris Saint-Germain, although they somewhat tailed off going into the World Cup campaign. They appear to have reignited that momentum though, with a win over Angers last time out.
Ouattara has contributed five goals and five assists to that run, the 20-year-old comfortably surpassing his total from last season – finding the net once and setting up two in 25 appearances. A run of form which has understandably attracted interest from across the Channel, and could see a lucrative move for Les Merlus.
