Lens set secure David Pereira Da Costa contract extension until 2026

According to L’Équipe, Lens have securing the future of attacking midfielder David Pereira Da Costa (22) until 2026. The 22-year-old, who has represented Portugal’s U-21 team, has been with Lens since he was young and has played an integral role in the squad’s success this season, featuring in 28 matches and scoring a crucial goal in their 1-0 victory over Marseille on October 22.

Lens, who currently sit third in Ligue 1 with 54 points, have secured several key players in recent months on longer term contracts. The club has extended the contracts of goalkeeper Jean-Louis Leca (until 2024), defenders Massadio Haïdara (2025), Yannick Pandor (2026), Jonathan Gradit (2026), and Deiver Machado (2026), as well as forwards Wesley Saïd (2026) and Florian Sotoca (2026). The team’s captain, Seko Fofana, also extended his contract until 2025 on August 31.

Lens’ number 10 has made 25 appearances so far this season in Ligue 1 this season, scoring 1 goal and registering three assists in the process. He has also made three Coupe de France appearances this season for the Sang & Or.
