LFP legal committee to study Hakim Ziyech’s loan to PSG

L’Équipe are reporting that the French football’s governing body, the LFP, are set to meet this morning to consider the approval of Hakim Ziyech’s (29) loan from Chelsea to Paris Saint-Germain.

The meeting with take place at 10:30 CET, after the documents pertinent to Ziyech’s move to Chelsea arrived after the passing of the deadline on Tuesday night. According to L’Équipe, Chelsea sent the wrong document on numerous occasions, meaning that the deal could not be completed in time.

The Moroccan international was set to join Les Parisiens on loan until the end of the season in a deal that didn’t include an option to make the deal permanent. Ziyech had already passed his PSG medical earlier in the day, and was waiting on an agreement between the clubs to be formalised.

That agreement did come, but too late. It is now up to the LFP to decide whether to give the green light to the deal, or whether Ziyech will have to travel back to Stamford Bridge to complete the current season with Chelsea.
