L’Équipe are reporting that Lille OSC are hoping to conclude a loan deal for Everton winger Demarai Gray (27) on transfer deadline day.
Paulo Fonseca’s side are still in the market for reinforcements on the final day of the window. Against expectations, Les Dogues have managed to retain Jonathan David, but the club do look set to lose Mohamed Bayo on the final day of the window. The former Clermont Foot forward looks set to join Le Havre AC on a season-long loan without an option to make the deal permanent.
According to L’Équipe, Lille could secure the arrival of Jamaican international Gray in the coming hours. Les Nordistes have submitted a paid loan offer to their counterparts at Everton, and they are hopeful that a deal can be quickly concluded. Gray has played 75 times for the Merseyside club since his arrival from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer of 2021. He has scored 12 goals in that time, registering six assists.
