Lionel Messi prepared to divide his wages by three to complete Barcelona return

Amid a growing rift with Paris Saint-Germain, Lionel Messi (35) would be ready to divide his wages by three in order to complete a sensational return to FC Barcelona, according to a report from RMC Sport’s Fabrice Hawkins. The 7-time Ballon d’Or winner is set to leave the French capital when his two-year contract expires next June. Messi is currently suspended and will have his pay docked by PSG over the next two weeks in the wake of his unauthorised trip to Saudi Arabia on Monday while his teammates were training.

The outlet reports that Barcelona would be prepared to offer him up to €10m per year. More importantly, Messi himself wants to return to the Camp Nou. The Argentine is reportedly waiting for LaLiga to give the green light to Barcelona in the wake of their financial struggles in the past few seasons. Former Blaugrana striker and compatriot Sergio Agüero is reportedly playing a role behind the scenes in order to facilitate Messi’s return to the Nou Camp. Meanwhile, RMC also confirm reports that Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal is planning a record offer to lure the 2022 World Cup winner.
