Liverpool, Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich still keen on €50m-rated Khéphren Thuram

Liverpool, Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich still retain an interest in Nice midfielder and France international Khéphren Thuram (22), according to a report this afternoon from Foot Mercato. The 22-year-old has attracted interest from a host of top-tier clubs in Europe following his breakout season with Les Aiglons. The youngest son of legendary French centre-back Lilian Thuram is tied to the Riviera club with a contract set to expire in 2025.

L’Équipe had revealed this Tuesday that Thuram was expected to remain at Nice for another season in Ligue 1, with a view to be called up in Didier Deschamps’ France squad for the Euro 2024.

The French publication had added that a summer transfer is still possible. According to Foot Mercato, the INEOS-owned Ligue 1 club would indeed be ready to listen to any club willing to reach the €50m barrier for the signing of Marcus Thuram’s younger brother. The outlet goes as far as saying that Nice will part ways with Thuram should a €50m bid come forward. Unfortunately for newly-appointed Nice coach Francesco Farioli, who expects to field the France international in a 3-man midfield, several clubs have shown an interest, although they are yet to submit a bid.

Foot Mercato understands that Borussia Dortmund are keen on signing Thuram, but they consider his price to be too high. Premier League side Liverpool still rate him highly, Thomas Tuchel wants Thuram to bolster Bayern Munich’s midfield. The former AS Monaco youth product would reportedly like to play a continental competition next season, something Nice can’t offer him. Nevertheless, Thuram has no intention to force a move away from the Allianz Riviera.
