The future of Paris Saint-Germain’s managerial position has dominated headlines ever since Luís Campos reportedly informed Christophe Galtier that he would not be managing PSG next season. Negotiations are currently centered around former Bayern Munich coach Julian Nagelsmann.
According to Le Parisien, in-depth discussions took place on Tuesday during a meeting organised at a prestigious Parisian hotel between Campos and a representative of the 35-year-old coach.
The talks reportedly continued over the phone, covering several key aspects, including the team’s dynamics, squad composition, Nagelsmann’s coaching philosophy, potential staff members, and his existing three-year contract with Bayern Munich, despite his departure earlier this year. Within the corridors of West-Parisian offices of PSG’s headquarters, Le Parisien say that caution is exercised whenever the topic of the future coach is raised.
Simultaneously, other coaches have been listed as potential candidates, such as former Spain and Barça boss Luis Enrique and current Leverkusen manager Xabi Alonso. Whilst reporting has been currently favouring Nagelsmann, nothing has yet been agreed.
