Santi Aouna is reporting that Olympique Lyonnais have formulated a €6m bid for Rayo Vallecano midfielder Pathé Ciss (28).
Lyon have been in the market for a midfielder throughout the window, and have begun to scramble around with just hours remaining. In the past hours, Tiémoué Bakayoko and Sevilla midfielder Fernando have both been linked with moves. The former is proving complicated due to Chelsea’s instance that AC Milan pay compensation to terminate the Frenchman’s loan, whilst Sevilla rejected Lyon’s approach for the latter.
Senegalese international Ciss is Les Gones’ most recent target. According to Aouna, Lyon have bid €6m for the midfielder, but the La Liga side are yet to respond to the offer. The Ligue 1 club have also made an offer to the player’s representatives with negotiations over his potential transfer across the border ongoing.
It has been a busy window for Lyon, who have seen many players, especially in attacking positions leave, whilst the club have struggled to negotiate deals and convince players to join the project at the Groupama stadium.
