Lyon set to complete signing of Heerenveen’s Amin Sarr

Fabrizio Romano is reporting that Olympique Lyonnais are closing in on the signing of Heerenveen forward Amin Sarr (21) for a fee of around €13m.

The Sweden U21 international has five goals and five assists in the Eredivisie this season and has caught the eye of Les Gones, who are in the market for offensive reinforcements. The club have had a poor first half to the season, and are looking to close the gap to the European places. However, they are set to lose Romain Faivre and Tetê before the closure of the transfer window at the end of the month.

The club are therefore moving swiftly to replace their outgoings, and have already made a move for former AS Monaco forward Wilson Isidor, who currently plays for Lokomotiv Moscow. They are not looking to add further attacking players to their group with Sarr close to moving to the Groupama stadium.

According to Romano, talks are in the final stages, with the fee thought to be around €12/13m. Personal terms have also almost been agreed upon.
