Le Parisien are reporting that Chelsea and Manchester City sent club personnel to watch AS Monaco’s Axel Disasi (25) during Les Monégasques’ draw against FC Nantes over the weekend, whilst Paris Saint-Germain retain an interest following their advances last summer.
Disasi is under contract at Monaco until 2025, but the French international is being earmarked for a move during the summer window. The player himself expressed, during an interview with Goal, that in order to remain in the France squad, he may have to move on from the Principality club sooner rather than later. The need to play Champions League football regularly is primordial for the former Stade de Reims centre-back, who was a surprise, late inclusion in Didier Deschamps’ France squad for the World Cup.
Some of Europe’s top clubs are interested in Disasi, including Premier League sides Chelsea and Manchester City, who sent people to watch him over the weekend. PSG Sporting Consultant Luís Campos is a long-term admirer of Disasi. Despite Milan Skriniar’s imminent arrival from Inter Milan on a free transfer, Campos has never lost contact with Disasi, and could yet make another approach for the player this summer.
