Manchester United open to offers for Raphaël Varane

Sports Zone are reporting that Manchester United are open to offers for Raphaël Varane (30). The Frenchman has fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford and hasn’t started a Premier League since the end of September.

Varane started the season as a guaranteed starter, however, he has since lost his place in Erik Ten Hag’s side. The player himself was unwilling to listen to offers last summer, but amidst the current context at the club, as well as his diminishing role, Varane would be open to a move in January. Manchester United aren’t closed to the idea of selling the former France international and the Premier League side would sell if a strong offer was made.

Al-Ittihad were most keen on Varane in the summer. and they may return with another bid when the transfer window opens, whilst Bayern Munich have also enquired about his availability. Sky Sports revealed the Bundesliga club’s interest in Varane in November and stated that the defender would be available for between €20-30m.
