Paris Saint-Germain will be without their senior centre-backs when hosting fifth-placed Rennes at the Parc des Princes on Sunday for Ligue 1 gameweek 28. France international Presnel Kimpembe (27) is out for the remainder of the season following his surgery on an Achilles’ tear sustained against Marseille. Sergio Ramos (36) and Marquinhos (28) won’t be available as well against Les Rouge et Noir. The Spanish defender is feeling discomfort in his right thigh following a training game against PSG’s academy players. Meanwhile, the Brazilian skipper has not yet recovered completely from his intercostal tear.

Without three of his senior centre-backs, Christophe Galtier is expected to shuffle his team against Rennes. 17-year-old El Chadaille Bitshiabu is expected to accompany defensive midfielder Danilo Pereira (31) at the heart of the defence. With so many absentees in defence, Galtier has called up for the first time PSG prospects Nehemiah Fernandez-Veliz (18) and Hugo Lamy (18). On the other side of the pitch, Lionel Messi (35) and Kylian Mbappé (24) are expected to start against the Bretons.
