Marseille predicted XI v Auxerre: Chancel Mbemba expected to return with Vitinha poised to start

Marseille will face Auxerre in Ligue 1 at the Stade Orange Vélodrome on Sunday evening. Both teams have been in good form recently, with Marseille picking up 11 points in their last five matches and Auxerre securing 10 points over the same period.

Marseille have struggled for consistency on home turf in recent matches, only managing to pick up five points from their last five games at the Vélodrome. However, they will be looking to build on their recent form and secure a win in front of what will be another sell-out crowd.

Chancel Mbemba, who was notably absent from the starting lineup in Marseille’s last match against Lyon, is expected to return to the defence for the upcoming match against Auxerre. Vitinha is also in contention for a starting spot in the attack, his last outing at the Vélodrome saw him score a brace on his first start for OM.

With only three matches remaining in the Ligue 1 season, Marseille will be looking to continue their unbeaten run and secure a spot in next season’s European competitions. A win against Auxerre will be crucial before visiting Lens next week.

Marseille predicted XI v Auxerre:

Lopez – Mbemba, Gigot, Kolasinac – Kaboré, Rongier, Veretout, Clauss – Under, Sanchez – Vitinha.
