Myziane Maolida’s agent hits back at Pal Dardai’s ‘baseless attack’ on his client

Speaking exclusively to Foot Mercato, Myziane Maolida’s (24) representative Philippe Lamboley had the chance to answer Hertha Berlin manager Pal Dárdai’s criticism of his player, who had qualified the attacker as: “lazy like few players I have ever seen in my life” when asked if the Frenchman would ever be called back into the first team.

“I understand that Mr. Dárdai is offended that a player like Myziane, who he has not used since the beginning of the season and whom he dropped has played in international games at a high level and acted as a centre forward. Something that Mr. Dárdai, who works hard, never noticed.” said Lamboley.

No signs of reconciliation between Dárdai and Maolida

To contextualise, Maolida joined the club at the end of the 2021 summer transfer window, only playing three games since joining, before being exiled to play regional football with the backup squad, also registering a short loan spell to Stade de Reims for the second half of last season. That being the case, the ex-France youth team player recently received his first call-up to represent Comoros at an international level. He started the two last games for them, against Central Africa and Ghana, scoring in both.

His agent qualified Dárdai’s statements as “baseless attacks“, and made fun of the situation, saying: “The only thing we could agree on with this great, visionary coach is that he encourages us to get away from him (leave the club).“No doubt there will be transfer rumours regarding the 24-year-old, as the winter transfer window approaches.
