Nantes striker Andy Delort will miss Juventus clash with knee sprain

FC Nantes striker Andy Delort (31) will miss this Thursday’s Europa League playoff round against Juventus at Allianz Stadium. The former Nice forward didn’t make the squad called up by Nantes boss Antoine Kombouaré. The Kanak has revealed that Delort picked up a knock during Les Canaris’ 1-0 win against Lorient last Sunday in his pre-match press conference. Kombouaré said Delort is suffering from a small knee sprain that should keep him out of contention for a week, meaning he might have a chance to feature for the return leg to be held at Stade de la Beaujoire.

With Delort out and Ignatius Ganago (23) unavailable following the tragic passing of his 5-year-old daughter, Egyptian striker Mostafa Mohamed (25) is expected to lead Nantes’ line against I Bianconeri. Juventus v Nantes, a remake of the famous 1996 Champions League semi-final tie, will kick-off Thursday night at 9pm CET at Turin’s Allianz Stadium.
