Neymar and Marquinhos in heated exchange with Luís Campos as tensions run high at PSG

PSG are in the eye of the storm following a limp performance away at Monaco. Les Parisiens were comprehensively beaten by the Philippe Clément-led side and conceded their fourth defeat since the turn of the year. Three days after their loss in a Coupe de France tie at the hands of arch-rivals Marseille, PSG were outplayed by the Monégasques. Crisis is brewing and tensions are high between players, according to a report from L’Equipe.

The outlet reports that Brazilian playmaker Neymar (31) was particularly jittery and complained, mostly to Portuguese teammate Vitinha (22), of not receiving the ball in the right areas or in the right paces. Neymar also slammed forward Hugo Ekitike (20) for his erratic decision-making yesterday. Their opponents reportedly could not believe what they heard and saw from Les Parisiens.

Tensions hit a new high in the PSG dressing room at full-time. Sporting advisor Luís Campos, exasperated by the poor showing from Les Parisiens, proceeded to scold his squad, blasting their shameful attitudes and their “lack of aggressiveness.” Of course, the speech was not to everyone’s liking. Brazilian duo Neymar and Marquinhos (28) replied, arguing this wasn’t PSG main issue on Saturday. The exchange was reportedly lively and long, and left several staff members surprised.

With Bayern Munich looming on Tuesday for a season-defining Champions League last 16 first leg, hard times are coming for PSG and their worried manager Christophe Galtier.
