Neymar finally open to PSG departure after protests at his house

Neymar is finally willing to consider a departure from PSG this summer, a change in sentiment brought up about the incidents of 3rd May when Les Parisiens ultras decided to protest outside of his home in Bougival, according to Le Parisien.

The outlet affirms that the Brazilian has now told several close ones that the incident shocked him and that he no longer has the heart to wear the PSG shirt. He is now ready to consider all serious offers that he receives in order to change scenery.

A year ago, Neymar resisted new Sporting Advisor Luis Campos’ desire to rid of him when the Portuguese transfer supremo arrived last summer, in a directive also coming from Qatar, according to the outlet.

Les Parisiens are hoping to remove the player, who is constantly injured – PSG want to build around Kylian Mbappé, which is what they promised the France World Cup winner when they extended his contract until June 2025.

Under contract until June 2027, Neymar is on €26m a year net and won’t be able to play for several more months. He under went ankle surgery in 10th March and was due to miss 4 months of action following that procedure.

At 31, the Brazilian’s ankles are such that anyone buying the player would be taking a risk fitness wise. Despite this, PSG appear to be optimistic that they will have a market in England for the player.

The club is working on it, this time with the agreement of the player and his representatives. Everything is on the table: an immediate transfer as well as a loan with the possibility that PSG cover some of his salary.
