N’Golo Kanté features in Chelsea friendly against Charlton

N’Golo Kanté made his long-awaited return to the pitch in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Charlton with Chelsea’s youth team, announced via the club’s website. The French midfielder has been out of action since August due to a hamstring injury sustained in a match against Tottenham.

Despite the rainy conditions, Kanté played for 60 minutes and helped the young Blues secure a 3-0 victory. Chelsea’s Thiago Silva and Mason Mount were also in attendance, showing their support for their teammate. Mount reportedly even wore a Kanté shirt during the match on the sidelines.

If Kanté’s return is confirmed for the upcoming Premier League match against Aston Villa on April 1st, it could provide a much-needed boost for Graham Potter’s struggling team, currently in 10th place. The midfielder should also be available to play against Real Madrid in the quarterfinals of the Champions League on April 12th and 18th.
