Nice interested in Borussia Dortmund’s Raphaël Guerreiro

RMC Sport report this afternoon that Nice are monitoring Raphaël Guerreiro’s situation at Borussia Dortmund, as first indicated by L’Équipe. The former Lorient man’s contract with the Bundesliga side, where he has played since 2016, is due to expire at the end of the season.

The Portuguese international has been on Les Aiglons’ radar for the last few months, while negotiations with Wolves for Rayan Aït-Nouri are at a standstill. The Premier League side’s demands are deemed too high, despite midfielder Mario Lemina going the other way at the start of the window.

Guerreiro, who has over 200 appearances for Dortmund, could now be set for a return to France to bolster Nice’s left flank. Having made the move to the other side of the Rhine in the wake of his Euro 2016 success with his national team, the 29-year-old has racked up an impressive 37 goals and 39 assists during his six and a half seasons there.
