Nice want to keep Liverpool target Khéphren Thuram

According to Sports ZoneOGC Nice are looking to keep Khéphren Thuram (22) for a further year, despite strong interest from Liverpool.

As previously reported by Nice-MatinLiverpool are expected to submit a bid for Thuram after the ongoing Euro U21 Championships. However, negotiations with Les Aiglons may not be so straightforward. According to Sports Zone, Nice don’t intend to sell Thuram and want to keep the France international for next season. Only a strong offer would convince the club to sell the AS Monaco academy product, and this is the reason for the “failure” during the first round of talks between the two clubs.

The deal is currently on hold with Thuram on U21 duty, but finding an agreement with the player himself is not expected to be an issue. Thuram, who is fully focused on the U21 Championship, does not want to deal with his club future until the end of the tournament. This decision was taken with his father Lilian Thuram.

However, an agreement with the player is close, according to Sports Zone with Thuram keen on a move to Anfield. It is now a question of convincing Le Gym to part ways with their prized asset.
