Nice-Matin report this morning that Nice players Khéphren Thuram and Jean-Clair Todibo have received preliminary call-ups to the French national team, ahead of the first international break of the year in ten days.
Didier Deschamps wil reveal his final squad next Thursday, with both now in contention for their first call-ups. Thuram had received a preliminary call-up for the World Cup, but did not make the final squad – although his brother Marcus did – while for the young defender it is a first.
Both players have been a key part of Les Aiglons‘ resurgence under interim manager Didier Digard, the former midfielder unbeaten since taking over from Lucien Favre, their latest success coming in Europe with a first-leg win over Sheriff Tiraspol.
Les Bleus begin their Euro 2024 qualifying campaign by hosting The Netherlands at the Stade de France on March 24, before travelling to Dublin to face Ireland three days later.
